To celebrate the arrival of our beautiful new SARGO 36 demonstrator boat in Scotland, our Kip Marina team organised our second cruise in company of the year. It was a great excuse to get out on the water and put the SARGO 36 through its paces!
Our Kip Marina team took the short trip from Kip to Largs in our new SARGO 36 on Friday afternoon, where they were joined by the stunning SARGO 45 ‘Blue Bayou’ and the newly arrived in Scotland, SARGO 36 ‘Impulse’.
A pleasant evening was spent with drinks and nibbles on the aft deck of the Inspiration Marine SARGO 36 followed by dinner at the ever-popular Scott’s restaurant in Largs Marina.
Saturday morning brought a mixed bag of weather with rain showers and sunshine passing through in quick succession. A leisurely departure saw the lineup of SARGOs making their way to the Northern end of Loch Fyne and picking up moorings at the scenic Otter Ferry.
With the majestic mountains of Arran as a backdrop, cruising in the Clyde estuary is always a joy, with secluded anchorages and dramatic scenery in abundance. Being out on the water with other SARGOs is always great fun, with the boats taking turns leading the way and plenty of opportunities to play around in each other’s wakes!
Taking the dinghies ashore, a relaxed lunch was had at the superb ‘Oystercatcher’ restaurant with much discussion of cruising in Scotland and plans for the future.
After lunch, the fleet went their separate ways with ‘Blue Bayou’ heading round the Mull of Kintyre to the stunning Island of Gigha and ‘Impulse’ heading to Lamlash on the Isle of Arran for the evening.
